Liturgies and Para-liturgical Celebrations

Liturgies and para-liturgical celebrations are an integral part of faith formation for the students of School Of Our Lady.

Once a week, on their designated day, each class attends 8:30 AM Parish Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church which is adjacent to our school. In addition to weekly Mass, the entire student body, teachers and staff attend a monthly Mass prepared by a designated class.

Individual classes have the option to prepare additional liturgies. These may include weekly class Masses, prayer services, Stations of the Cross, the Living Rosary, scripture readings and meditations. Teachers have an appointed monthly time to take the students for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Reconciliation is offered twice a year for third through eighth grade level and second grade after first Reconciliation.

Sacramental Preparation

Families, with students who have been baptized and are in Grade 2 and up, receive instruction in the School Sacramental Program as a condition for their child to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Eucharist. Baptism is also offered to those students in need of receiving this sacrament. To make arrangements for Baptism, please contact the student's teacher and the office. Both sacramental programs are jointly coordinated by School of Our Lady and the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish.
