Welcome to School of Our Lady home of the Lyons. My name is Priscilla Doorbar, and I am the school principal.  Prior to being principal of School of Our Lady, I worked in the educational system for fourteen years.  I have been married for 29 years and have two wonderful children who received a Catholic education.  My favorite hobby is watching dance performances and spending time with my family.  I love animals, especially my dog “Travis”.

As a parent, I sent my children to school with the intention that they would be treated with respect and would be in a safe and caring environment.  As an educator, I will make every effort to ensure that every child is treated with respect and is safe at school.  I intend to make decisions based on what is in the best interest of all children. I will proceed with the best interest of the whole child foremost in my mind.

The value of a Catholic education is very important to me.  I believe that through our Catholic teachings we can promote the formation of Catholic moral and religious values and provide our students with opportunities to discover, explore, and develop their own God-given potential so that they will have a positive effect on society.  I am confident that you and your children will enjoy being at our school.

My staff and faculty are all in agreement with our mission statement to teach children academic skills and interpersonal skills.  Academic, social, and emotional well-being will be fostered at School of Our Lady School.  My team will guide students toward personal responsibility and the decision making skills they will need to function in society.  Our school is a warm, caring, and safe environment where boys and girls can work diligently, achieve academic success, and show courtesy and the love for Jesus Christ through their actions and words to all people.  School of Our lady believes that it takes a team to educate a School of Our Lady student.  Out team virtues are faith, compassion, admiration, motivation, and respect.

My door is always open and I look forward to meeting each of you.  I know that by working together we can make any dream possible for our school and for your children.

Respectfully,

Priscilla Doorbar
